Assam:Amitabh & Media

We live in a country where headlines are made even if 'Amitabh Bachchan' goes to 'washroom' but no one worries about the floods in 'Assam'! I think journalists have sold their 'souls', and all that they do is simply "commercial journalism"
which surely attract the masses but never shows the reality which means for just profit they hide reality.
I feel stupid that our media always keeps on promoting the government instead of showing the mistakes of the government! Yes, I understand that doing all this creates a feeling of security in the mind of the people, but it also covers the mistakes of the government and if we want to make the government responsible, then it is very important to show us what is right .Truth is very important and until media won't question on government strategy failure how govt will rectify it.
Now let's talk about Assam, how long we will not pay attention to our northeastern state like the media -
After the 1950 floods, 'Assam' has become the most 'flood prone state' of India. Since the earthquake in 1950, the 'Brahmaputra River' has become more unstable which makes the human life more miserable.
But the 'media' will not show all this, because according to the media it is not beneficial for them to talk about the problems of 'North-East'
Because this kind of news does give them commercial views but until we don't start talking, start discussing how will Assam get attention on this issue.
More than 2 million people have been affected and more than 70 people have lost their lives .Also in " Kaziranga National Park" which is a Unesco World Heritage site, had been submerged and at least 51 wild animals have died due to this flood.
It is not like Assam is suffering from flood for the first time!
In 2012 around 6 million people were displaced ,more than 124 people and 540 animals including 16 rhinos died in Kaziranga National Park.
In 2013, 10 lakh people from about 12 districts of Assam were affected by this and the neighboring state of 'Arunachal Pradesh' was not left untouched by this.
In 2015, more than 40 people lost their lives after being affected by flood around 16 lakhs people of 2100 villages were displaced and 4,40,00 acres of standing crops were destroyed.
In 2016 around 1.8 million people were affected around 25 people died and more than 300 animals were submerged .
In 2017 around 85 people died , 4 lakh people were affected by it.
In 2018 around 12 people died and 4.5 lakh people were affected by it.
In 2019 it affected a total of 5.2million people, 1,63,962.02 hectares of crop area, in 30 districts and around 50 people died.
And this year we are still witnessing this disaster destroying everything.
Some questions here we want to ask
When it's about every year why there is no primitive steps taken to protect everyone ?
What is "Disaster Managment Committee" doing?
Why is media ignoring such important news ?
"Assam" is an integral part of our country why it still doesn't get our attention?
Why no assistance is being provided properly?
Why media houses never talk about the problem of North-EastIndia ?
It's high time media houses should reform their strategy and instead of pursing TRP they should pursue true journalism. True form of journalism is rare these day's media houses rarely give attention to such important issues and instead of covering mistakes they should make goverment accountable for their work.
And Government should also strengthen the policy towards North-East regions .
But this natural calamities it is not only about goverment and hiw they deal with it .
As human now we have to understand our responsibility too natural calamities are increasing every year and such incidents are dangerous not only for environment but for human too but we take all these incidents very lightly we don't even care for them what are we waiting for something worst to happen .
One reason for the increase of these disasters is the excessive use of natural sources and the damage caused by human to nature
People these day cut plants for various reasons mainly for civilization but never realize it is
one of the main reasons for these incidents, the administration will have to give as much or more importance to the environmentalists And this should is not only applicable for administrators but also for common man
Here we are starting a campaign
this rakshabandhan plant a tree and protect it. And please pray for everyone
